A simple ceremony was held at Ananda College , Centenary hall on 02nd December 2010 to distribute the profit earned from the 81st battle of the maroons to two schools Ananda and Nalanda.

The two principals and the POGs and staff together with the battle of the maroons joint committee representing two schools including Mr Upali Dharmadasa, Mr Ravi Ahangama , Mr Nishantha Ranatunge, Mr Iththapana, Mr Molligoda participated for the ceremony.
Mr Nishantha Ranatnga handed over the cheque to Nalanda College principal Ranjith Jayasundara, whilst Mr Ravi Ahangama handed over the cheque to Ananda College principal L.M.D.Dharmasena. Each school received 1.2 million.

Ananda college principal thanked, Battle of the maroons joint committee for organizing the last big match in a grand style.
The 82nd battle of the maroons will be held on March 05th and 06th , 2011.
